Third, Fourth and
Fifth Grades will be voting for their favorite books from the top 32 books checked -out at Forest Trail Library in the last 18 months.
WHICH WILL BE IN THE TOP 16 NEXT WEEK???????
Both the students at Forest Trail and students all over the state of Texas chose The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt as their favorite book from the list of 20 Bluebonnet selections. Turn your imagination on to enjoy the story of a young boy learning that his crayon box is filled with crayons that have feelings too.
Choosing a book can be serious business, but it holds a promise of lots of fun. After time set aside for the selection process, students learn about adding the price of their books, checking the amount of money they brought for the fair against the total of books chosen, and then considering the total after tax is added. Lots of math problems are introduced and solved at the check-out station. With all the serious business, students always have time to share fun with family and friends.
